Polis Diving Centre PADI Rescue DiverWelcome to your Rescue Diver Course, with Polis Diving Centre (PDC).
PADI Rescue Diver is an important and crucial step in expanding a divers knowledge and experience beyond recreational level. Rescue divers learn to consider the safety and well being of other divers. That is why the PADI Rescue Diver qualification is a pre requisite for all PADI Leadership training.
Rescue Diver training prepares divers to help prevent problems and if necessary, manage dive emergencies using a variety of techniques. The course is designed to be demanding though realistic in its conduct, content and approach. Although the nature and context in which rescue training may be used is serious, the course is very enjoyable and builds divers confidence. ![]() The course consists of academic sessions where you will watch a video and have confined water sessions where you will learn different techniques for handling scenarios such as tired divers, panicked divers and unconscious divers. There are also open water sessions, where you will put all you have learnt in the confined water into practise!
Participants as young as twelve may complete the PADI Rescue Diver programme and receive a junior credential until they reach fifteen years of age. Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive the PADI Rescue Diver certification, which is recognised worldwide. To be certified as a PADI Rescue Diver you must have successfully completed a sanctioned course in CPR within the last 2 years. The Emergency First Response course is highly recommended and can be used to meet the requirement. The DAN Oxygen Provider course is also highly recommended to compliment the Rescue Diver course, but is not a certification requirement.
